Haiti - Security : 7 prisoners escaped in Petit-Goâve

In the night from Friday to Saturday, 7 juvenile prisoners incarcerated in one of the two cells of the sub-police station of Petit-Goâve, escaped after having injured the police officer Vely Michel and tried to disarm him.

According to the preliminary information, Saturday at 1am, a prisoner asked to the officer Vely Michel (Agent 4) to come, the latter is renowned for his kindness and dedication. The officer opened the cell door and it is at this time that young prisoners who had prepared their escape, threw him on his face a liquid containing Chlorox, blinding the police officer before projecting it violently against the gate, wounding him in the forehead. Prisoners tried to seize the weapon of police officer who was struggling, blood on his face and that is when 3 other juvenile prisoners, intervened to prevent the 7 aggressors to kill the agent Vely Michel.

The 7 prisoners are : Jordany Sébastien, Jean-Baptiste Guitheau, Dalson Remy, LormilStevens, Stanley calixte, Laguerre James et Pass-Nesly Stevenson, sont actuellement en fuite...

Note that the 3 young juvenile detainees who came to the aid of police officer and probably saved his life, refused to flee and voluntarily chose to remain in their cells.

Police Commissioner of Petit-Goâve, Pierre-LouisJean Alexa adopted disciplinary measures against the police officer involved in this escape, which was held in solitary confinement pending the delivery of the file to the General Inspectorate of the National Police of Haiti (IGPNH).
