Haiti - Politic : The Government presents its sympathies

The President of the Republic, Michel Martelly, has learned with great dismay the sad news of the passing https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-11464-haiti-politic-leslie-manigat-passed-away.html , this Friday, June 27, of the ormer President of Haiti, Professor former President of Haiti, Professor Leslie Saint-Roc François Manigat, following a long illness bravely borne.

On behalf of the Government and people of Haiti, the Head of State presents his condolences to the family, relatives, friends and supporters of the Rally of Progressive National Democrats (RDNP). The President of the Republic extends his words of sympathy to his wife, the political leader, Mrs. Mirlande Manigat.

With this death, the Republic has lost one of its worthy son who had the heavy responsibility of occupying the highest office in the State. The President of the Republic salutes the memory and the course of Professor Manigat and presents him as a model for the youth of the country.

Prime Minister, Laurent Lamothe, expresses its deep regret and its great sadness at the death of Professor Leslie François Manigat, former President of the Republic who has long contributed to the formation of several generations of Haitians and enhance national pride.

Deeply affected by the departure of this illustrious citizen, the head of government extends its deepest condolences to his family, his parents and relatives who are heavily affected by this death that creates a huge void in the Haitian intellectual world and in the world.

At this difficult time where the entire Republic mourns this monument that has left us a legacy unspeakable, Prime Minister Lamothe invites youth to draw inspiration from this model of patriotism, professionalism and intellectual symbolized by the professor Leslie François Manigat.

Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe calls the population to pay tribute to the dimension of this modern hero disappeared, while promising to continue, as professor Leslie François Manigat to struggle for strengthen democracy and ensure a better life for all son and daughters of the country.
