Haiti - Tourism : The Prime Minister visited the new hotel Kinam of Petionville

Monday as part of his tour of private enterprises aimed at encouraging domestic investment, Prime Minister, Laurent Lamothe, accompanied among others by Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin, the Minister of Tourism Creative Industries (MTIC) went to new Kinam Hotel of Petionville.

This new hotel infrastructure now offers 118 rooms, including 33 in the old building and 85 in Phase I of the extension in addition to two restaurants, a bar, a café, as well as many shops. The interiors are fully decorated with works by artists from Petion-ville, to whom about 300 paintings were purchased.

Funding for this first phase amounted to 16 million U.S. dollars. In total, $30 million will be invested by the Buteau family, owners of the hotel, to materialize their dream of expansion of Kinam.

The Head of Government indicated that this hotel is, among others investments made during the last three years in the country "a testimony to the realization of the vision of President Martelly to open the country for business." The Prime Minister was also pleased of the placed in the future of Haiti, by the Buteau family, with the construction of this important extension.

Emphasizing the efforts made ​​by the Government to boost the business environment, secure investments while strengthening security in the country, the Prime Minister recalled that by the end of the year, there will be more than 2,100 hotel rooms will be available throughout the country.
