She revealed that from March to June 2014, 71 sites in which families still lived were closed and a relocation plan was underway for the remaining 7,000 families. Fabien Sambussy responsible for camp coordination to IOM reported that since 2010, the families from 1,500 camps have been relocated.

Referring to the latest report published in June by the Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-11528-haiti-social-92-of-idps-have-left-the-camps.html she recalled that 103.565 displaced persons (± 28,000 families) still living in 172 camps scattered across the metropolitan area of Port-au-Prince and the regions of Palms in the West Department.
