"This is not normal that those who are always presented as patriots to contribute to put the country under trusteeship and fight for the perpetuation of a corrupt government [...] it is equally unacceptable that these people feel no discomfort to violate the constitution and laws of the country to serve their personal interests".

Senator Edmonde Bauzile also said that despite their differences, "the opposition parties must stand together against those in power. We must fight against the fraudulent elections in the country", expressing the hope that the conference of political forces leads to results.

Doctor Maryse Narcisse, coordinator of the political organization Fanmi Lavalas said support this approach and reaffirms the commitment of his organization to continue the fight against the organization of elections faked in the country.

In a different register, the former deputy Steven Benoit candidate approved under the banner of the "Alternative" platform, explained explained that his presence at this conference was to try to persuade opposition leaders on the need to participate in future elections. Stating that he was going to participate in elections in November, he said that the opposition can win the next election and that "the victory is within reach".
