Haiti - Mode : Return of the child prodigy in the country

"Prajje 1983" the brand of the famous fashion designer, of Haitian origin Prajje Jean-Baptiste, based in New York, one of the pioneers of the current "Ethnic-inspired fashion", will make his first appearance in Haiti during an evening presentation of his Antillean collection, Sunday, December 28, 2014, from 6:30 pm, at the Nader Art Gallery situated 50 Grégoire Street, Petionville.

This presentation will provide guests and the country's elite, professionals and dignitaries, an image of the designer's creativity over the years "I look forward [...] I have not visited Haiti since I left there 20 years old. I feel like the prodigal son who back to his parents," declared Prajje about his presentation.

Although this is the first presentation of Prajje in Haiti, this is the first appearance of his brand in Haiti. Recall that the famous designer has always been inspired by his homeland in his creations.

He is best known for its cocktail evening dresses and wearing many of the most beautiful women of the United States, including : Lara Spencer of Good Morning America, Sara Underwood presenter on Fox 25, the supermodel Alek Wek, the host of CNN Sunny Huston. These creations for men dresses including Wyclef Jean. Despite his international success, Prajje always dreamed of returning to Haiti, his native country and source of inspiration."
