Haiti - Politic : Evening tribute in honor of the Prime minister Evans Paul

On Wednesday, the eve of the 211th anniversary of Haiti's independence, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Artibonite organized in the city of Independence to the Family hotel, an evening tribute in honor of the Prime minister Evans Paul, in the presence of a hundred personalities, for most from State institutions, civil society, employer institutions and socio-professional associations of the department.

This cocktail tribute mainly aimed to honor the Prime Minister for his long struggle for the triumph of democracy in Haiti.

Ms. Carline Joseph, President of the Regional Chamber and Pastor Alexandre, representing of the civil society of the city presented Evans Paul as "[...] an example of resistance to oppression, of freedom face the injustice, dignity face of humiliation, clairvoyance face ntolerance, forgiveness face hatred [...]"

In his speech, the Prime Minister wanted, first, to magnify "[...] the battles fought by our ancestors at the price of their blood for the liberation of our beloved country," before bowing front their memory to recall "[...] the imperative duty that we have to end the exclusion of all kinds generated and maintained by corruption and the weak capacity of our administrative machinery to effectively deliver the basic services to citizens."

He stated that in his concern to promote good governance, the future government will take "[...] Bolder measures to ensure that our beloved country is at the height of the issues and challenges ahead [...]" while indicating to be aware that "his team will meet course difficulties in the march toward social progress [...]" he remains "confident we can overcome them, because together we will always be stronger."

The intervention of Evans Paul while leaving see a glimmer of hope, s indicative of the need to begin healing our national consciousness, and look to the future as one Nation to allow the Haitian people to regain control of its own destiny.
