Haiti - Culture : First edition of the Cultural Week of Haiti to Hanoi (Vietnam)

To celebrate the courage, pride of the Haitian people, the beauty of Haitian culture and to commemorate the 211th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Haiti, the Embassy of the Republic of Haiti in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, in collaboration with Viettel Telecom Group, is organizing the first edition of the Cultural Week of Haiti 2015 in Vietnam, entitled "Haiti, Live the Experience" that will be held in Hanoi from 12 to 15 January 2015.

In the program, it is planned to make known the rich cultural heritage and the Haitian cuisine through various activities such: as exposure of Haitian art and crafts, painting, typical costumes, tasting of Haitian food, dance, literature, religion and music.

The Charge d'Affaires, Jean Lesly Benoit will preside over the official launch of this cultural week Monday, January 12, 2015 at 9:00 am at the headquarters of the Embassy of Haiti in Hanoi, with representatives of Viettel Group, the diplomatic corps and friends and supporters of the Republic of Haiti in Vietnam.

Note that the famous guitarist Amos Coulanges, Maestro Tido Dejean, and the group Troubadour Ti-Coca & Wanga Nègès, will travel to Vietnam for a show at the Hotel Meliá Hanoi January 15, 2015, for the closing of the cultural week of Haiti.
