Haiti - Elections : Evaluation tour of CEP of electoral offices

In a note the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) informs the population in general and politicians in particular, that "several delegations led by electoral advisers currently staying in different parts of the country as part of the evaluation of Departmental Electoral Offices (BED) and Communal Electoral Offices (BEC), including those whose members are the subject of contestation. It is, for the Council to conduct a local investigation to determine the truth of the facts alleged against some offending members and take, if necessary, administrative measures necessary."

As part of this tour, our correspondent of Petit-Goâve, informs us that on Thursday a delegation led by the electoral adviser, Marie carmelle Paul Austin, composed of Hortes Jean Francky, departmental Coordinator of BEF West and of Fritz Jean, Security adviser to the CEP, met to the prosecution of Petit-Goâve, the representatives of political parties and grassroots organizations, who had challenged the three members of BEC of Petit-Goâve.

They claimed unanimously, the organization of another competition in order to recruit new members. The electoral adviser, Marie Carmelle Paul Austin took note of and promised to bring this matter before the other electoral advisers to definitively address this crisis.
