After his tour of inspection of the work to Île-à-Vache Thursday https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-13420-haiti-reconstruction-tour-ofpresident-martelly-on-ile-a-vache.html , President Michel Martelly, accompanied among others by Stéphanie Blamir Villedrouin, the Ministers of Tourism and Creative Industries, of Fresner Dorcin, Minister of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Rural Development, Philippe Cinéas, Secretary of State for Public Works Friday visited the development works of the airport of Les Cayes, where the airport runway Antoine Simon, is the object of great works to increase the length of the runway from 900 to 2.600 meters and allow access to international flights soon.

The delegation then visited the Institute for Training in Hospitality and Tourism (IFORTH), located at the Departmental Directorate of Tourism South. The President Martelly warmly congratulated graduates for having chosen the emerging sector of tourism as a career. He also welcomed the result obtained by the efforts of the Ministry of Tourism leading to the formation of young professionals "I am proud that this training project is now mature. This promotion confirms the Government's commitment to strengthen the tourism sector."

For her part, the Minister Villedrouin stressed the importance of tourism in the process of sustainable develop of the country and stressed the generator side of currency of the sector and the need to put in place the structures to facilitate investment and the increasing arrival of tourists in Haiti.

In the afternoon, the Head of State and the Minister of Tourism, warmly welcomed by the population of the immediate areas assessed the redevelopment of Morisseau beach. Michel Martelly has emphasized the importance of the involvement of the population, as the main player, by keeping the beach clean, to provide an environment conducive to the reception of tourist from all horizons.

By late afternoon Stéphanie Villedrouin, during a chat with the population of Morrisseau has renewed her commitment towards a sustainable tourism development and accompanying of his Ministry with respect to different queries and realization of similar projects to promote the attraction of tourists in Haiti.

The Management Committee of the Morisseau beach, handed to the Minister with a plaque of honor, in gratitude of the entire community, to the Ministry of Tourism and the Government.
