Friday midnight at the end of the registration period of parties and political groupings the Provisional Electoral Council informs the population in general and politicians in particular, "that it has proceeded from 16 to 20 March 2015, in accordance with Articles 100 et seq of the Electoral Decree, to the registration of 192 parties and political groups, wishing to participate in the upcoming elections."

The CEP indicates that this step, after analysis and compliance of documents submitted will be followed in the coming days "of the publication of the list of parties and political groups entitled to participate in the upcoming elections, in accordance with Article 102 of the Electoral Decree."

Furthermore the CEP indicated that the step after publication of the list will be the registration of candidates to fill 20 posts of Senators and 118 posts of Deputies "the submission of candidacy for the legislative will from 6 to 19 April 2015, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm at the various Departmental Electoral Offices (BED) of the country."

The CEP recalls that the period for dispute of candidacies will be from 22 to 24 April 2015 inclusively, and the final list of approved candidates will be displayed in the BED from 1 May 2015.
