After the challenges of candidacies of of former Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe "Parti Peyizan" https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-13968-haiti-elections-laurent-lamothe-before-to-the-electoral-court.html and of 4 other candidates : Jean-Henri Céant "Renmen Ayiti", Edwin Zenny (Edo) "Konbit Nasyonal", Jovnel Moise (PHTK) the candidate of the ruling party and Kesler Dalmacy "Mopanou" it's now the former deputy Arnel Bélizaire, that challenges the candidacy of Thierry Mayard Paul.

Saturday, the former deputy Bélizaire addressed a letter to the Provisional Electoral Council, to challenge the presidential candidacy of Thierry Mayard Paul "[...] hereby challenges the candidacy for President of the Republic at the next elections of Thierry Mayard Paul for the following reasons:

- Absence of discharge of its management

- Absence of declaration of assets"

Can be read in the letter, in which Arnel Bélizaire recalls that Me Thierry Mayard Paul was Minister of the Interior and Territorial Communities, noting that according to public statements by the latter, it will have instead of the discharge provided for Article 90-h of the electoral Decree, an order of the judge of Referred of First Instance of Port-au-Prince "a approach not provided for in the Electoral Decree if no discharge," Bélizaire said adding "Likewise, he had to file a declaration of assets [...] This declaration of assets must be made before taking office and after his resignation or dismissal of the Government," concluding "I ask the Council to reject the candidacy of Me. Thierry Mayard Paul [...] or the above mentioned reasons."
