Photographers and foreign journalists in Haiti

The Departmental Directorate of Tourism Southeast hosted the past week, photographers and journalists Ana Nance and Nancy Lacroi in prospecting report of the destination, to achieve promotional material about Jacmel and several other tourist sites of the country, on behalf of various renowned magazines such as Conde Nast Traveler USA, Budget Travel, Lonely Planet, El Viajero and Travel section od El Pais.

Development of new spaces to the Toussaint Louverture Airport

Wednesday, Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Industries (MTIC) conducted a guided tour of the Toussaint Louverture airport of new spaces arranged for the immigration services and the Duty Free. She also met the directors and officers of the Customs and the Ministry of Economy and Finance on the perception of the tourist tax.

Exploration mission of sites of Massif de la Selle

Within the framework of the protection of biodiversity and sustainable financing of protected areas, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Industries participated last week to a mission of exploration of potential tourist sites of the Massif de la Selle (Southeast). This field visit was aimed to learn about the sites in order to contribute to its development and their promotion, and also explore the self-financing of protected areas through ecotourism solutions.

Soon inauguration of site of Bassin Zim

Tuesday in the premises of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Industries (MTIC), held an inter-sectoral meeting of those involved in the development project of Bassin Zim (Hinche) around the inauguration of the project. In this perspective, Maryse Noel, the Director General of MTIC, had conducted past weekend a supervisory visit of works in this tourist area of the central plateau.
