Wednesday, the direct inaugural flight #1148 Boston-Haiti, of the Jet Blue Airways landed on the airport Toussaint Louverture, Port-au-Prince where it was greeted with great fanfare by water cannons. VIPs and the first travelers of the new seasonal flight, received the warm tributes of the team "Blue" and that of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Industries (MTIC).

Recall that this new nonstop service between Boston's Logan Airport Massachusetts and the Toussaint Louverture International Airport in Port-au-Prince (in both directions) will be available on Wednesdays and Saturdays until 5 September 2015.

"This new connection to Haiti with his son and daughters of the Diaspora residing in the State of Massachusetts brings us a double pride. This is, first, a closer link to Haiti for the Haitian community in Boston and more generally, in the growth of our tourism. And, in the latter, this flight comes as to further boost the machine already in net speed," declared, Maryse Noel, the Director General of the Ministry of Tourism during a press conference at the airport.

Talks are under way between the MTIC and officials of Jet Blue Airways, so that the flight for the moment only available during the summer, becomes permanent.

Passengers obviously pleased with this experience had a chance to win prizes during a Bingo in flight, graciously offered by the airline and the Ministry of Tourism, including two roundtrip tickets were distributed to the winners.
