Saturday, the spokesman of the Government, Rothchild François Jr., went to Ouanaminthe (Northeast) to track the progress of several projects.

He started with the construction site of Savane Longue Health Centre, which had so far only a dispensary and advances with great strides.

He also visited the construction site of the village "Ouanaminthe", an ambitious project of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, performed under the direction of the Economic and Social Assistance Fund (FAES). The construction of this village, financed by the Interamerican Development Bank (IDB), the US Agency for International Development (USAID) and Food For The Poor, will benefit when completed, to the displaced of the earthquake of January 2010, indicated Charles Hugo, the Departmental Delegate of the Northeast.

Subsequently Rothchild François Jr. went on the protection embankment built on the river Massacre at the crossing point of Ouanaminthe on the border and took the opportunity to visit the Customs of Ouanaminthe. He inquired on the conditions in which the return of our compatriots in the Dominican Republic are realized.

Finally in the company of Charles Hugo and the Mayor of Ouanaminthe, he visited the site of the new building of the Directorate General of Taxes of the city.

Meanwhile, Calvin Junior, General Director of the Ministry of Communication, proceeded to Ouanaminthe, at the launch of a training seminar for journalists from the region around the theme "Reporting Techniques and Cover of Electoral Process". During this training were discussed: The electoral stakes under the constitution; the development of an electoral coverage plan; discourse analysis of political programs, electoral coverage in sensitive areas; the electoral mechanism and finally the legal framework for elections.
