Haiti - Tourism : Things are moving everywhere !

Investments slow to do in the country

Tuesday at Le Plaza hotel at Champ-de-mars, Stéphanie Balmir Villderouin, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Industries (MTIC) opened in the presence of several economists and representatives of the tourism sector, the conferences organized by the Tourism Association of Haiti (ATH) which took place around the question "How to benefit from the advantages of the investment incentives code."

The Senator Jocelerme Privert, Senator of Nippes declared "The Government wants Haiti to become an emerging country to the horizon 2030-2035 and encourages investment in creating wealth and jobs," recalling hat "Concessions were made by state authorities to offer incentives. Nevertheless, investments are slow to do in the country, due to political instability and lack of basic infrastructure."
