Members of CESFRONT (Cuerpo Especializado en Seguridad Fronteriza Terrestre) have returned to Haiti in recent days nearly 300 undocumented Haitians attempted to enter Dominican territory with modified documents of the National Plan of Regularization of Foreigners (PNRE).

Illegal migrants who were trying to enter the country with their children and other relatives had photocopies of the registration receipt at PNRE with their photo and personal data held or fake cards of the Ministry of the Interior and Police two documents that have not managed to escape the vigilance of the military in the control points.

Remind our compatriots that PNRE documents are linked to a biometric database and a simple fingerprints check makes it easy to thwart these attempts organized by unscrupulous individuals, who have found a new way to make money with the naivety of more than one of our compatriots.

Sunday during several control operations, dozens of Haitians were arrested in the sectors of Cañongo, La Vigía, La Patilla, Los Arroyos, La Aviación, Barrio La Bomba, Inespre, Sanché and Los Miches, many had false documents.

Service of the Migration and military sources said they were concerned about the increasing entry of Haitians with false documents. Faced with this new form of fraud, the CESFRONT, the Immigration, the army and other security agencies have intensified and strengthened monitoring of the border, including in Dajabon, where the largest number of attempts has been found.

The Director of Cesfront, General Carlos Aguirre Reyes said that the troops under his command will not allow the Dominican border be violated.
