Haiti - Elections : The MOPOD denounces an Electoral Coup

In a note, the "People's Patriotic Movement Dessalinien" (MOPOD) of the radical opposition, indicated that "October 25, 2015 the population went to the polls to elect their leaders. The day that started in the tranquility turned about two in the afternoon, in a vast operation of fraud, ballot stuffing and irregularities of all kinds"...

Denouncing in his words "an electoral coup likely to plunge the country into a dangerous adventure" the MOPOD explains in his note without providing personal details or locations that :

"1.- representatives were forced by the police to leave the polling stations, to favor the operation of fraud in favor of the ruling party;

2.- observers accredited by the CEP, proved to be voters who sailed the voting centers across the country to vote as they please;

3. A transaction of purchase of votes reported was noticed on a large scale;

4. Members of the polling stations have been corrupted and have participated in these fraud operations;

5. The scandal of sale of mandates favored those who could buy large quantities and meke vote representatives in the greatest disorder;

6. Many voters have voted several times without signing the partial electoral lists ans without indelible ink."

For MOPOD that invites the CEP to "scrupulously respect the electoral decree to analyze the integrity of the election [...]" concluded that "all this shows that Sunday's election was neither fair nor democratic and therefore unacceptable."
