Haiti - FLASH : Stone throwing against ambulances in service

In a note, Dr. Georges Dubuche, Director General of the Ministry of Public Health and Population (MSPP) strongly condemns "the pernicious actions of a few individuals who threw stones, Monday, November 9, 2015, around 3:00 a.m. on an emergency ambulance carrying a patient to Port-au-Prince," recalling that a similar situation occurred in Cap Haitien Friday, November 6.

"These action is a matter of irresponsibility and complete disregard of the right to life of the human person which is a right enshrined in all national and international conventions. Even in war, hospitals, ambulances, medical staff and other instrument at their service are exempt from vandalism."
