Haiti - Petit-Goâve : Chabane opposes to a demonstration of supporters of Jean-Charles Moïse

Thursday, residents of Chabane of Petit-Goâve, opposed to the launch of a demonstration by supporters and sympathizers of Jean-Charles Moïse in their locality.

"We have not been formally informed of the holding of this political activity in our area. Chabane has changed, it is not, as was believed, a lawless zone... We do not want to be beaten by the police [...]" explained residents.

Youth from Chabane, members of several "bases" have claimed their piece of the underlining "[...] There is money and we want our part, or the event will not start here... That the son of Dessalines leave the area. That they go elsewhere to do their demonstration..."

Faced with the firm refusal of residents, supporters of Moïse have decided to leave the locality and start their demonstration elsewhere, which ended prematurely and without incident in the city center, due to poor planning.
