Yolette Mengual temporarily withdraw from the CEP

"I am brought to temporarily suspend my participation in the activities of the Council to conduct a legal battle against unfounded accusations, which are only defamatory statements which I have been these days," informed Yolette Mengual, Electoral Adviser, adding "I'll go through my quest for justice and repairing against these defamatory attacks while waiting to fully resume my commitments within the institution."

A very convincing Pastor or a miracle ?

Pastor Sylvain Exantus, President of the Protestant Federation of Haiti (FPH) claims to have obtained the agreement of the two presidential candidates, the Executive and the G8, to organize the political dialogue leading to the resolution of the crisis policy. The date of holding of this dialogue will be defined after the political consultations that are continuing, said Pastor Exantus.

Beginning of training of Polling Stations members

This Wednesday, January 13, the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) begins the series of trainings for Members of Polling Stations (MBV) across the country.

13 and 14 January : Training of Great Trainers;

January 16 and 17: Training of Supervisors in the Departments;

January 21 and 22: Training of Polling Stations members in the Communes.

NOTICE : Instructions to vote for Haitian observers

In a statement, the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP), in accordance with Article 222.1 of the Electoral Decree "informs the population in general, political parties, political groups, the two presidential candidates and national electoral observation organizations in particular , that the observers deployed on election day, will be empowered to fulfill their civic duty in the polling stations where their names appear on the voter list. The Council consequently asks to the responsible of these organizations to ensure that observers are assigned to voting centers where their names are on the list of 'émargement'."
