Haiti - Politic : Vote of confidence possible but not certain

The Special Commission responsible for verifying the eligibility of Fritz Jean submitted its report on Tuesday, signed by only 4 of 7 members. The other commissioners : Salem Raphael, Gérard Théramène and Franck Lauture have not signed because of some gray areas identified in documents filed thus, from 2007 to 2012, the Prime Minister named performed no fewer than 24 trips to the United States while on his Haitian passport does not appear any Visa.

Berthol Jean Bastien, Vice President of the majority block (G48) in the Chamber of Deputies (APH) is less categorical concerning the blocking of the vote of confidence, he now believes that the General policy statement of the Prime Minister named has a 50% chance to be voted by the deputies. He points out that several deputies within the G48 are favorable, adding that teh blocs GPEP (G33) and GPI (G11) are mainly acquired to the Prime Minister named.

Jean Berthol Bastien announces that consultations continue in the lower house to find the number of deputies required to vote the general policy of the Prime Minister named.

Platform Pitit Dessalines calls on parliamentarians to give a vote of confidence in order to provide the country with a government.
