Haiti - Politic : The Senate loses a second senator

Friday, the Prime Minister, Enex Jean-Charles, proceeded in the afternoon the installation of Senator François Anick Joseph (ALTERNATIVE end of term in January 2017) as Minister of the Interior and Territorial Communities (MICT) https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-17046-haiti-flash-francois-anick-joseph-named-minister-of-the-interior-confirmed.html , function that was assured so far ad interim by Chancellor Pierrot Delienne.

If the assignment of this important ministry to a member of the opposition, can rejoice the G9 whose was member the Senator François Anick Joseph, however it reduces the blocking ability of the opposition group in the Upper House, hich now goes from 9 to 8 members. Note that since the beginning of the new parliamentary term, the number of Senator passed in less than 3 months from 24 to 22, after the departure of Jocelerme Privert and of François Anick Joseph.

The installation ceremony to the Annex of The installation ceremony at Champ-de-Mars took place in the presence of Simon Dieuseul Desras, Minister of the Environment, Ronald Larèche, Vice-President of the Senate, and several other Parliamentarians, Director General of the MICT and his Deputy, of Directors and technical Coordinators, executives and staff of the MICT and various other guests.

In his words of circumstance, the new Minister (former churchman) who qualifies himself as a "neophyte" in the public service (this is his first job in public administration), introduced himself as "a servant of servants", and sought the cooperation of all employees of MICT, and implicitly of his former parliamentary colleagues whose advice and support are welcome, while stressing to his staff on the need to be effective and deliver results.
