Haiti - Humanitarian : Venezuela sent 20 tons of aid

Following the declaration of the President of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro to send a first emergency humanitarian aid to Haiti following the severe damage caused by Hurricane Matthew, Néstor Luis Reverol, the Minister of the Interior, Justice and Peace, informed Wednesday morning, of the sending of a cargo of 20 tons of humanitarian aid to Haiti. The shipment departed of the nternational airport of Maiquetia "Simon Bolivar" as a gesture of solidarity of the people of Venezuela with his brothers of the Republic of Haiti.

"The aircraft carries nonperishable food, water, blankets, sheets and medicines to help the people of Haiti in particular the population of Les Cayes," declared the Minister Reverol who was accompanied by the Ambassador of Haiti to Venezuela Lesly David.
