Haiti - Literature : Launch of the 23rd Edition of Livres en Folie

Monday, Limond Toussaint, the Minister of Culture, in the presence of the partners and organizers of the event, Max Chauvet and Frantz Duval of the daily newspaper Le Nouvelliste, Guy Supplice and Michelle Frisch, respectively Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations Unibank and Director of the Museum of the National Haitian Pantheon (MUPANAH) launched the 23rd edition of Livres en Folie.

MUPANAH will become the Headquarters of the 23rd edition of Livres en Folie on 15 and 16 June. Activities related to this literary event will take place in 14 other provincial cities. 1,000 titles and more than one hundred authors will be signed at the Book Fair, which will host this year as guests of Honors the centenary, Odette Roy Fombrun and the young writer Markenzy Orcel.

"What makes this edition particular is the fact that it will be the first time we have two guests of honor at the same time," said Max Chauvet, adding "[...] During these two days we want to create a festive atmosphere where the book will be the only winner."

According to Guy Supplice, the books will be available from 11 to 18 June to allow Internet users who can not travel to access the event and place their orders online.
