On Monday a police source said "unofficially", that the bullet shots had been fired from the inside to outside and not the reverse. On Monday, the Commissioner of the Government, Me Ocname-Clamé Daméus, said that the Central Directorate of the Judicial Police (DCPJ) had been ordered to question all the officers assigned to the security present in Parliament at the time of the incident, both inside and outside adding that people who incite the population to violence on social networks will also be heard during this investigation as well as agents of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) assigned to the security of Parliament.

Commissioner Berson Soljour, Departmental Director of the West of the PNH, the Scientific Police and other specialized units of the police institution, as well as a judge of Peace, were also on the scene for the legal findings.

DCPJ agents who wanted to continue interrogations with some security agents at their offices were prevented from leaving the Parliament by other agents who blocked all the barriers, giving free rein to the violence. Journalists were prevented from practicing their profession, agents damaged or destroyed the equipment of several of our colleagues, some of whom were beaten and threatened during the clashes.

Deputies of the Office of the Lower House deplored the violence against the media, Joseph Lambert, the Senate Speaker condemned these brutal acts and apologized to the journalists assuring them that all measures will be taken with the utmost rigor against the agents involved in these cases of aggression.

Parliament is now under police surveillance.
