Haiti - Croix-des-Bouquets : 6 mini police stations to strengthen security

Rony Colin, the Mayor of Croix-des-Bouquets, accompanied by his assistants Mrs. Géraldine Cétoute and Jean Jonas Saint-Juste, proceeded, December 18 in Bon Repos, to the handing over of the keys of 6 mini-police stations, brand new, to police authorities.

These mini-stations, which were built thanks to the technical and financial support of the Unit for Construction of Housing and Public Buildings (UCLBP) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM), have been set up at strategic locations (at Bon Repos between to the intersection of the national roads #1 and 3, Canaan 1, Canaan 3, St. Christophe, Jerusalem and ONA-ville) from a security plan developed jointly by the members of the Communal Council and the police authorities

The UCLBP and IOM officials took the opportunity to donate 12 motorcycles to the municipal authorities for the benefit of the police, who will be assigned to these mini-stations.

The ceremony of official possession of these mini-stations by the police authorities of Croix-des Bouquets and the delivery of the motorcycles, took place in the presence of Mr. Jacky C. Pierre, the Chief of Cabinet of Mayor Colin, the Commissioner Principal of Croix-des-Bouquets, Ronald Pierre, representatives of UCLBP, engineer Jacques Bien Aimé and Arnaud Viximar and Maria Oliveira Ramos, Head of IOM Urban Development and Engineering Unit in Haiti .
