Haiti - FLASH : Shortage of fuels or organized scarcity ?

For more than a week, several gas stations in the Capital are closed for fuel lacks, others are besieged by interminable queues of automobiles and a large amount of motorcycle taxi in search of precious liquid, whose price keeps increasing and which will be sold to them after hours of waiting in limited quantity... Because of this scarcity, the price of the Gallon of gasoline which normally sells 224 Gourdes, is sold on the black market in certain zones up to 500 Gourdes (5.35 dollars per gallon at the rate of 93.41 Gdes for 1 dollar US, August 29).
