Carlo Marcelin, the Secretary General of the Haitian Football Federation (FHF) informs that following the emergency request for assistance from the Federation, sent to the Government via the Ministry of Sports, it received Tuesday, October 22, 2019 a grant of more than 14 million Gourdes (14,540,244.00) which it appreciates a lot in this very precarious economic situation.

While congratulating the Government for keeping its promise, the Federation draws to the attention of the authorities on the commitment to provide a regular and monthly subsidy to the Clubs to enable them to continue to entertain players in great suffering.

Secretary Marcelin explains that this grant will be used to :

• Respond to the latest financial problems arising from the participation of the national team in the FIFA U-17 World Cup Brazil 2019 (medical care, extra hotel fees during this World Cup, sports equipment, travel by others staff members);

• Pay the fees for the men's pre-Olympic (Haiti-Barbados, September 22nd at Port-au-Prince) and women's tournaments (Puerto Rico tournament October 1-8);

• Support the efforts of the men's D1 and D2 clubs who continue to train despite several weeks of stopping competition;

• Partly clean the heavy liabilities of the last three preparation stages and matches of the League of Nations of the national team A : Curaçao-Haiti September 7 in Willemstadt, Haiti-Curacao on September 10 at Sylvio Cator stadium and Haiti - Costa Rica moved at the last moment from Port au Prince to Nassau / Bahamas on October 10, 2019.

• To provide some urgent expenses of maintenance of the young men and women's national selections of the Academy CAMP NOUS in Croix des Bouquets which continue to prepare for the next competitions of December / January / February and next March.

• To give a symbolic share of the big arrears to the educators of the FIFA / FHF / State federal academies while waiting for the payments.
