This afternoon was held the inauguration ceremony of the Town Hall of Caracol, municipality of the District of Trou-du-Nord in the Department of the Northeast, newly renovated through funding from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).

This new building is an example of many projects that will be executed shortly in the city of Caracol. The City Council will now have an appropriate space to better serve the citizens of the city. The U.S. government was pleased to support the people of Caracol through the Town Hall.

Several Haitian government officials and of United States Government whose the Ambassador of the United States in Haiti, Kenneth Merten, and the Chief of cabinet of the Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Cheryl Mills, were present at the ceremony.
