A meeting was held between the President of the Republic, Michel Martelly and the Parliament, Saurel Jacinthe, President of the House of Deputies, gave few details on the three issues that were discussed, namely the amendment of the constitution, the case of the 19 Parliamentarians and the ratification of the Prime Minister-designate.

"At this meeting we discussed three things, the amendment of the constitution, the 17 deputies and two Senators, and the ratification of Mr. Rouzier" explains Mr. Jacinthe.

"Regarding the amendment of the constitution we found an agreement, it is necessary that the President removes the errors and at the same time that he gives the revised version for publication, but nevertheless we must analyze the version that he has between his hands to see if there are "dust" or to "remove dust" of it in order to give the final touch and that there is no error [...] that's what we're doing now [...] we finalizing [the text] before publishing it because we do not want to repeat the same mistakes again..."

"On the question of the 17 Deputies and the 2 Senators [...] we have two proposals that are underway, the first proposal is to completely redo the elections for the 17 Deputies and Senators 2, the second proposal is to take the latest results that the CEP has issued, we would take 14 in this list [...] there is no problem for the two Senators, so publish the 16 [14 Deputies + 2 Senator] more three to completely redo for Jacmel, and Vallieres Belladère..."

Concerning the ratification of the Prime Minister designate, Mr Jacinthe declared "we find an agreement [...] I said that we agree on the question of the Prime Minister, for the issue of government formation for Ministers we will discuss but this passes like a detail, we agree on the profile on the program. Now for the formation of the government we will re-sit, but this is not what which will influence or not the vote of the ratification of the Prime Minister. So we agree with Mr. Rouzier, with the President so we have no problem at this level."
