In a press release the Holy See informs that Pope Francis has donated 27 respirators to help fight the coronavirus pandemic in several Latin American countries, especially those experiencing the greatest difficulties.

This donation, which took place through the Apostolic Chaplaincy and the various diplomatic nonciatures, was distributed as follows :

4 respirators were given to Haitian hospitals, 2 for the Dominican Republic, 2 for Bolivia, 4 for Brazil, 3 for Colombia, 2 for Ecuador, 3 for Honduras, 4 for Venezuela and 3 others for Mexico.

In addition, Pope Francis ordered that 2 respirators be given to other countries: 2 in Cameroon, Zimbabwe, Bangladesh and Ukraine.
