Haiti - Politic : Surprising remarks of Senator Lambert...

After having required a participation in the next Government, the Senators and Deputies of the former platform INITE, together with allies within the Parliamentary Group for Renewal (GPR), seem to obey to the instructions of former President René Préval and agree to put aside their claims, to ratify the Prime Minister-designate if his record is conforms...

After the filing of documents required for the ratification of the Prime Minister-designate, Daniel Gérard Rouzier, Sen. Joseph Lambert, Coordinator of the Presidential platform INITE has announced his new position... : "If the President of the Republic and Head of Government designated consider that it is imperative for him to make calls to people in the GPR, to strengthen the Government, with the expertise we have, then he will call on us. If he considers, that he has sufficient expertise on his side to lead the government, he will form his government and us, of the GPR, we will give to the new Government and to the Head of State a positive support, to start: first to remove people from under the tents, secondly to develop social programs that are in the interests of disadvantaged and third, to begin to address in a very serious manner, to the environmental problems that causes problems these days [...]

Today we have a country that is fragile and therefore must take all necessary steps, apart from considerations of groups, parties and other ... In order that, finally, we can get the country back on the track of sustainable development. [...] If [the Prime Minister-designate] meets all the requirements set by the constitution and electoral law, the Commission will produce a report that it will give to the National Assembly, which sovereignly, will take a decision. The vote most certainly should not be a political vote in this political, social and special economic conjuncture..."

Undoubtedly, such "positive" remarks in the mouth of Senator Lambert are surprising... They reflect more the instructions received, that his own opinion. A tone which in no way corresponds to the aggressive and threatening tone that the Senator has accustomed us... "a wolf disguised in lamb subjected, remains a wolf..."
