Haiti - Justice : Towards the end of the indefinite strike of the Magistrates?

After 63 days of indefinite strike launched on February 15, 2021 by the National Association of Haitian Magistrates (ANAMAH), the Professional Association of Magistrates (APM), the Association of Haitian Judges of the Peace (AJUPHA) and the National Network of Magistrates Haitians (RENAMAH) the paralysis of the justice system in Haiti could end.

Indeed, the decision of the members of the Court of Cassation meeting in General Assembly having decided not to receive the oath of the judges irregularly appointed by the Executive https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-33009-haiti-flash-president-moise-replaces-the-3-judges-involved-in-the-coup-attempt.html pending the decision of the Superior Court of Accounts / Administrative Litigation (CSC/CA) was one of the 3 demands of the Magistrates

In addition, the Office for the Protection of the Citizen (OPC) acting as mediator in this conflict, announces that Christophe Espérance, Clerk of the Court of First Instance of Croix-des-Bouquets, dismissed by the Minister of Justice, for having sat in the hearing of "Habeas Corpus" initiated in favor of Judge Dabrezil, was reinstated by Minister Rockefeller in his functions on April 19, 2021, which meets the second demand of the magistrates https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-33017-haiti-justice-the-judicial-system-paralyzed-at-the-national-level-from-monday.html

The OPC welcomes this decision of the Minister of Justice, who has shown a spirit of openness and going beyond in the resolution of the crisis marked by the indefinite strike of Magistrates through the Courts and Tribunals of the Republic.

However, the third and last point which requires the withdrawal of the two Presidential Decrees (February 8, 2021 and February 11, 2021) retiring judges Yvikel D. Dabrezil, Wendelle Coq Thelot and Joseph Mécène Jean Louis, involved according to the Executive in the coup attempt https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-33009-haiti-flash-president-moise-replaces-the-3-judges-involved-in-the-coup-attempt.html still remains unanswered.
