Haiti - Insecurity : The PNH thwarts a kidnapping, 3 kidnappers killed, 1 injured, 2 on the run

Wednesday, June 29, the Police warned of the presence of suspicious individuals traveling on board a Toyata 4Runner in crisis color, registered : AA-09249, the police intervened in time when these individuals were going to kidnap an employee of the Henry Deschamps Bookstore.

The police pursued the kidnappers from Pétion-Ville to the level of Lalue. During the exchange of fire, 3 of the bandits were mortally wounded near the premises of the Haitian Foundation for Diabetes and Cardiovascular Diseases and another was wounded and arrested.

Note that according to information available to the Central Directorate of Judicial Police (DCPJ), the three kidnappers killed by the police were repeat offenders well known to the police.

This are Jean Brunel, born in Kenscoff on June 22, 1984, imprisoned in the National Penitentiary on December 23, 2010 for illegal possession of firearms, armed robbery and criminal association.

Jean Mario Joseph, born in Cité Soleil on April 22, 1990, imprisoned in the National Penitentiary on September 2, 2011 for illegal possession of firearms.

Jean Michel Bien-Aimé, born in Port-au-Prince on November 6, 1979 (multi-recidivist), imprisoned in the National Penitentiary on December 26, 2008 for criminal association and November 6, 2017 for armed robbery, robbery and illegal detention of firearms.

The police are actively looking for two other fugitive accomplices, who took part in this thwarted kidnapping attempt.
