On Sunday, September 11, 2022, Digicel informed that between 4:30 a.m. and 8:45 a.m., "the company lost its international connection because its fiber optic network was cut on Sunday at: Canaan, Croix-des-Missions, Gonaïves and Dondon. "[...] these cuts meant that several services such as the Internet, SMS and international calls could not be made throughout the national territory."

"[...] No international connectivity or internet connectivity at the national level. The technical teams are already making the repairs. We hope to restore the service in the very near future," Digicel informed Sunday evening.

At 9:30 p.m. Digicel announced "[...] The company quickly mobilized its teams, and despite a series of access difficulties, the repairs were carried out and all services were restored. We inform our customers that the stabilization of services may take some time, but they will return to normal from Sunday evening."
