Arms trafficking, François Samson interviewed

Tuesday, January 17, 2023, François Samson arrested in connection with the arms and ammunition trafficking case seized at Port-au-Prince customs (responsible for recovering the goods) involving the Episcopal Church appeared for the first time in cabinet instruction. Improving the governance of non-formal education

On Tuesday, January 17, 2023, UNICEF and the Ministry of National Education launched the project to improve the governance of non-formal education in Haiti. This project aims to guarantee access to basic education for all vulnerable children and women outside the formal system. "Base Pilate" gang leader interviewed

Tuesday, January 17, 2023 gang leader of "Baz Pilat", Ezéchiel Alexandre alias "Ze" and former police officer Junior Claude were heard by the investigating judge Jean Wilner Morin. Arrested on June 26, 2022, they are imprisoned in the penitentiary for kidnapping, murder, armed robbery, illegal possession of firearms and criminal association.

FAO : Seed Distribution

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) distributed seeds to 180 beneficiaries in Fort-Liberté, Ferrier, Ouanaminthe and Perches as part of the project : Improving food and nutritional security and strengthening the resilience of vulnerable populations in the North-East department. In addition, 120 community leaders have benefited from vegetable seeds which will be distributed among 2,620 beneficiaries under this same project.

PAM : school canteens and local products

In 2022, the World Food Program (WFP) distributed 100% local products in school canteens in Nippes and the South and 40% in the rest of the country. The Ministry of National Education welcomes these efforts by WFP to respect the new national school canteen program based on national production.

Presenting the Consensus Agreement to the OAS
