In addition, the General Directorate of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) in a press release dated January 21 denounced once again, the deadly attack perpetrated by heavily armed bandits against a police patrol of the Pétion-ville police station. Alerted to the situation, the National Police Command took all measures to send reinforcements to rescue the police and the inhabitants of the Métivier area.

Unfortunately, from this ambush, four people were killed, including three policemen and a truck driver, one policeman is missing and another seriously injured, is receiving treatment in a hospital in the capital.

The General Directorate takes this opportunity to wish its most sincere condolences to the parents, friends and loved ones of all the victims, in particular the police officers, and to the entire large police family hard hit by these brutal disappearances. She also takes advantage of the occasion to appeal for calm and respect for safety instructions to all police officers whose sensitive mission places them on the front line to face dangers of all kinds to protect and serve the population.
