The "Gran Griff" gang attacks in Liancourt, many victims

On Friday July 14, 2023, at least 7 people were killed and more than a dozen others injured in an attack carried out at dawn in Liancourt by members of Savien's "Gran Griff" gang. The bandits also abducted people, burned houses and several vehicles.

Education : €30 million

The European Union has approved a financing agreement of 30 million euros to support the public education system in Haiti. The program will be implemented in 2024 confirmed Stefano Gatto the Ambassador of the European Union in Haiti.

Cap-Haitien : Sanitation of the city

The Municipal Administration of Cap-Haitien awarded an "Honor and Merit" plaque to Jhonson Napoléon, to the Haitians of the Diaspora and of Haiti for their contribution which allowed the purchase of two trucks, in the process of sanitation of the city.

NOTICE : March for the liberation of Opont

SOS Journalists and the Association of Haitian Journalists have announced a march for Sunday, July 16, 2023 to demand the release of Télé pluriel DG Pierre-Louis Opont. By this mobilization which will leave from the Place Saint-Pierre, in Pétion-Ville, the organizers also intend to denounce kidnapping and show their solidarity with the journalist Marie Lucie Bonhomme Opont, wife of the victim.

Abinader hails BINUH enforcement

"We welcome the strengthening of BINUH's mandate in Haiti by the UN Security Council; and we underline the call to the Secretary General of the United Nations to present in 30 days options to strengthen and definitively resolve the security situation in Haiti," declared the Dominican President Luis Abinader.
