Haiti - USA / UN : Donation of 40 vehicles to the PNH and a modern prison in Petit-Goâve

On Wednesday August 30, 2023, as part of a partnership between the Haitian and American governments, the National Police of Haiti (PNH) received the keys to the new Petit-Goâve prison built by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), accommodating 228 detainees, as well as a batch of forty (40) Toyota Land Cruiser Pickup vehicles, brand new via International Narcostics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL).

During the ceremony to hand over the keys to these rolling stock and the new prison, the Acting Director General of the PNH, Frantz Elbé, was accompanied by members of the High Command, Ambassador Éric Stromayer, Chargé d'affaires of the United United in Haiti, by Emmelie Prophète Milcé, the Minister of Justice. Representatives of the INL and representatives of the American government also took part in this activity.

The Minister Emmelie Prophet Milcé, took the opportunity to thank all the partners who continue to provide their unconditional support to the PNH and also to appeal to the entire population, all the citizens, the press, in order to support the brave police officers who work tirelessly on the ground against this "great and worrying criminality"...
