Yesterday the engineer Jude Hervé Day was installed at the head of Ministry of Planning and External Cooperation (MPCE) to replace former Prime Minister Jean-Max Bellerive, who also had the portfolio of the MPCE.

During his speech for the occasion Mr. Day thanked the President of the Republic for his confidence in him, and described his Ministry as a strategic tool in the ensuring coherence of the sectoral policy choices oriented towards the development, promising to phase the actions of MPCE with the axes of interventions traced.

"Mr. President you have wanted, not only that I'm in your government,but you also wished to come personally to my installation at the head of the Ministry of Planning and External Cooperation I am doubly grateful to you and I pledge to do everything possible to merit the confidence whose you honor me so generously.

I will not mistaken by stating that such attention will certainly beyond my own person, hey are the clear expression of interest you bring to this ministry as a strategic tool in the ensuring coherence of the sectoral policy choices oriented towards the development that you have stated and defined in your various speeches.

Mr. President of the Republic you have repeated many times in your speech, Prime Minister I will therefore ensure that in the various areas of expertise [...] regional planning, local development and external cooperation the actions of the Ministry will be close and in phase with the axes of interventions that you have traced. Mr. Prime Minister and outgoing Minister of the Planning and External Cooperation take your succession to the direction of this Ministry is no small matter..."

For his part the President of the Republic said that Mr. Day is a person who always work, which always gives the results and which has already worked with the former Prime Minister Jean-Max Bellerive "Again it is a pleasure to participate in the installation of the Minister of Planning, Mr. Jude Hervé Day, is a person who always work, which remains in the shadows but which still gives performance and results [...] is a good piece [...] it is with great pride that I say him welcome, we are counting on him, it's time to work, I know he has already experience in this field, especially since he has accompanied the outgoing PM, ll the time he was at the Prime Minister's Office and to the Ministry. So I say you welcome, continue the work, the President count on you we have many thing to do, you know that plans are important tools, which plays an important role in the development of the country, so that it works on our four pillars..."
