Haiti - Case Bélizaire : President Martelly back to Port-au-Prince this Thursday

The President Martelly shortens his trip of 3 days and will return to Haiti this Thursday, announced his communications office. The Head of State had to undergo surgery to his shoulder in the United States and participate to some events to raise funds in favor of his program of free education, these events were canceled because of this return conditioned by the political crisis resulting of the case Arnel Bélizaire. The Head of State will give a press conference upon his arrival at the airport. This will be his first public intervention since the beginning of the judicial and political crisis initiated by the arrest followed by the release of Deputy Bélizaire.

It is not a coincidence that this return coincides with the interpellation session in the Senate, of Josué Pierre-Louis, Minister of Justice and Michel Brunache, the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs by the Senators, considered as responsible of the arrest, which they consider illegal, of the Deputy Bélizaire.

Much uncertainty surrounds the holding of this session. According to parliamentary sources, a number of Senators signatories of this resolution, would be ready to change their position and request a postponement, to allow time for negotiations and avoid the worst... Remember that any interpellation session is concluded with a vote of confidence or a censure motion which can lead to the dismissal of the Minister concerned, or that of Prime Minister.

Meanwhile, other Senators dissatisfied with the resolution of interpellation, attempts to include in the latter, the name of Me Thierry Mayard-Paul, the Minister of the Interior, Local Authorities and National Defense...
