A journalist killed by a stray bullet

Nerval Pierre Viliat (26 years old) alias "Vaval le sage", a journalist for the online media “Echonews sport”, died on Sunday, after being hit in the stomach by a stray bullet in Delmas 19. He died La Paix hospital in Delmas 33.

One CIMO killed and two others injured

Monday March 25, 2024 in Carrefour Vincent (Commune of Cité-Soleil), police officer Joveny Duplan of the 27th promotion of the Intervention and Maintenance of Order Corps (CIMO), was fatally injured and two of his colleagues injured after that heavily armed individuals opened fire on the vehicle in which they were traveling.

Textile 53% of jobs lost
