ULCC : Search at BMPAD

Haitian expelled for threatening President Abinader

The General Directorate of Migration (DGM) reported that a Haitian national was expelled to Haiti for threatening Dominican President Luis Abinader via social media. The man, identified as "Polanco Poush", was arrested by police in Haina and then handed over to the public prosecutor. The latter sent him back to the Haina interdiction center for his expulsion process. Poush stated before being transferred that he apologized for the remarks made against the Dominican Head of State.

EU : 40 million euros additional

The European Union is definitively reopening its offices in Port-au-Prince, facilitating contacts and monitoring of projects in progress. The EU has just approved an additional 40 million euros in aid for 2024, not including humanitarian aid. The priority areas for this 40 million concern support for security, agricultural production and education. Significant funds remain to be implemented in other areas as well and will be favored by an improvement in security, explained Stefano Gatto, EU Ambassador to Haiti.
