Jean Rodolphe Joazile, the President of the Senate, confirmed Monday that the report of the Senate Commission ersponsible for investigating on the arrest of Deputy Arnel Bélizaire on October 27, had been deposited in his office.

"...I am the sole authority to set the sessions and the session of interpellation of government officials accused of involvement in the case Bélizaire, is maintained for Tuesday until further notice," declared the Senator Joazile, to the journalists who asked if the session, postponed twice, would be postponed again " [...] they told me that they sent the report, but I'm not went into my office this morning [...] the report will be presented and will the subject of debate prior to the interpellation] to the Assembly which is scheduled for tomorrow Tuesday and until now the meeting is not postponed [...]."

Furthermore Me Josué Pierre Louis, the Minister of Justice and Michel Brunache, the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, other members of the government could possibly be subject to interpellation if the report of the Senate Commission establishes their involvement in the arrest of Deputy Arnel Bélizaire, suggested Senator Rudolph Joazile.

At least 24 people were interviewed by members of the Commissions, including the Prime Minister Gary Conille, the ministers of interior, Thierry Mayard Paul, of the Justice, Josué Pierre-Louis, of Foreign Affairs, Laurent Lamothe, the Director General of the National Police, Mario Andrésol, and the Director of the Judicial Police, Godson Orélus, for events occurring between October 12 and 28, 2011.

Further pressure was exerted on Monday night, on the Minister of Justice so that he resigned a few hours before the session of interpellation. The Senator Youri Latortue stressed that this resignation would allow the Minister to go out with honor and facilitate a resolution of the crisis between the executive and the Parliament. Dismissing a reversal of his colleagues, the Senator Latortue wanted to clarify to the attention of its colleagues at the origin of this interpellation, that "everyone will be responsible of its vote towards its constituents".

The Minister of Justice could not be reached by phone Monday evening and members of his entourage have refused to say if he intended to resign or respond to the interpellation.

Unless the Assembly of Senators decides otherwise, the session of interpellation of the Minister of Justice will be held on Tuesday. A parliamentary source reported that even if the session of interpellation did not occur, the contents of the report would be disclosed at a press conference.
