Haiti - FLASH : NOTICE of recruitment for the referendum (CEP)

As part of the organization of the referendum and the upcoming elections, the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) invites qualified citizens to submit their applications for the positions of members of the Departmental Referendum Bureaux (BRD) and the Municipal Referendum Bureaux (BRC).

Positions to be filled :

- BRD members : 2 per department, a vice-president and a secretary-treasurer.

- BRC members : 3 per commune, a president, a vice-president and a secretary-treasurer.

Required qualifications :

1. Be of Haitian nationality and reside in the department or commune concerned;

2. Be at least 25 years old for the BRC and at least 30 years old for the BRD;

3. Enjoy their civil and political rights;

4. Be recognized for their integrity and morality;

5. Hold a university degree;

6. Have experience in the administrative, legal, electoral, or community fields is an asset.

Main missions :

- Supervise and coordinate referendum operations at the departmental or municipal level;

- Actively participate in the organization and implementation of the referendum and elections;

- Ensure compliance with the electoral procedures and regulations in force.

Application file :

Interested persons must submit a complete file including :

1. A cover letter addressed to the Provisional Electoral Council;

2. A detailed curriculum vitae (CV);

3. A copy of the national identification card (CIN);

4. A copy of the tax identification number (NIF);

5. A certificate of good character;

6. A copy of the university degrees obtained;

7. Two professional or community references.

Submission of applications :

Application files will be received at the Departmental Office of the CEP from January 13 to 16, 2025.

Female applications are strongly encouraged.

Competition :

The competition will take place on Sunday, January 19, 2025 at the address that will be communicated later by the President of the Departmental Electoral Office (BED).
