Kenscoff : assault rifles and ammunition seized

On Friday, January 31, 2025, as part of ongoing operations in Kenscoff, law enforcement officers carried out operations in Bonga, La Hatte, and Dlo Barette with the aim of neutralizing the bandits seeking to take control of these localities. Two assault rifles and a bag containing several hundred rounds of 5.56 caliber ammunition were seized.

Victor Prophane's lawyer demands the release of his client

53,412 compatriots returning to Haiti (partial January)

According to a report published by the Support Group for Repatriates and Refugees (GARR) for the month of January 2025, the GAAR would have recorded 53,412 compatriots returning to Haiti, coming from the Dominican Republic: 17,840 Haitians were deported and 4,204, turned back, by the Dominican authorities and 31,368 left the neighboring Republic voluntarily. The GAAR specifies that these figures "do not claim to be exhaustive, they only concern the data collected between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. at certain border crossing points."

Donation of 80 digital tablets

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) has donated two computers and more than 80 digital tablets to the National Office of Migration of Haiti. These devices will allow information to be collected and centralized for more effective and targeted assistance to migrants and internally displaced persons.
