International Basketball Coaching Training

On Saturday, June 28, the international training for French-speaking basketball coaches concluded in Rabat, Morocco. Haitian coach Jean Alex Joinville participated in this week-long training, where he was able to exchange, learn, and strengthen his skills alongside coaches from across the French-speaking world, in a spirit of sharing and excellence. Many thanks to the Association of French-Speaking National Olympic Committees (ACNOF) and the Haitian Olympic Committee (COH) for their continued support. Haitian basketball has emerged stronger from this experience, ready to reap the rewards through the coach's work on the court.

BRH to establish an AI fund:

On Friday, June 27, during the Haiti AI Summit at the Karibe Convention Center, the Bank of the Republic of Haiti (BRH) committed to establishing the Artificial Intelligence Fund (FIA) to make technology and AI a driver of inclusive and sustainable development.

A US Senate delegation was in Port-au-Prince

A delegation of US Senate representatives was in Port-au-Prince from June 26 to 28, alongside Ambassador Henry Wooster, for meetings with the Transitional Government of Haiti, international partners, the Haitian National Police (PNH), and the Multinational Security Support Mission (MMSS). The United States is mobilizing international support to help Haitians fight the terrorist gangs that are destabilizing the country.

114 adult candidates for the 9th AF exams

Inspector General Renan Michel reports that this year, 114 adults aged between 40 and 62 will be taking the 9th A.F. exams.

TPS : Amnesty International's Reaction

Amnesty International calls the Trump administration's decision to revoke Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Haitians "cruel and dangerous." France alongside farmers:

Antoine Michon, French Ambassador to Haiti, met with the mayor of Aquin (Southern Dept.) to discuss the situation in the commune and visited the French Development Agency's (AFD) Social Investment Support Program (PAIS). "France is financing the construction of water intakes on two rivers and irrigation canals for the farming communities of Aquin."
