Grand North : Tour to meet the needs of schools/B>

After the Grand South region from August 14 to 17, 2025, the National Education Fund (FNE) will travel to the Grand North region to listen, act, and respond where the needs are most urgent, following the Government's instructions. This approach reflects the FNE's firm commitment to promoting responsible and transparent management of public resources, in favor of the sustainable strengthening of the education system in all regions of the country.

Slave Trade Commemoration

August 23, 2025, is the International Day for the Remembrance of the Slave Trade and its Abolition. This day recalls the magnitude of this tragedy and invites us to reflect on its causes, consequences, and the interactions it generated between Africa, Europe, the Americas, and the Caribbean. This Commemoration also commemorates the slave uprising in Saint Domingue (Haiti) on the night of August 22-23, 1791, a key moment in the struggle for the abolition of the slave trade.

Funeral of Mgr Romelus:

On Thursday, August 21, 2025, the funeral of Bishop Joseph Willy Romelus was celebrated in the morning at the Jérémie Cathedral in Grand'Anse, in the presence of several ecclesiastical figures, political and administrative leaders, and many faithful.
