Haiti - Cap-Haitien : Installation of a new acting Municipal Commission

On Friday, September 5, 2025, Marc Me Présumé, Departmental Delegate of the North, in the presence of judicial and administrative authorities and a representative audience from the city's sectors, installed a new acting Municipal Commission to head the Municipal Administration of Cap-Haitien, following a decision by the Council of Ministers.

This Commission is chaired (Mayor) by Ms. Angeline (Angie) Bell, a renowned entrepreneur and cultural and environmental activist, founder of the "PouBèlAyiti" project, an innovative initiative to raise awareness about waste management through art.

She will be accompanied by deputies Patrick Almonor, reappointed, and Isaac Pierre-Louis, newly appointed.

In her remarks, President Angeline Bell issued a vibrant call for solidarity and collaboration, inviting all Cap residents, from students to entrepreneurs and various government stakeholders, to unite to collectively address the major challenges facing the municipality.

This Commission's mission is to ensure the management of the municipality until the next elections, in a context marked by pressing challenges.
